Thursday, July 29, 2010 Registration Now Open: IDIC15 5k & 15k
Join RunVermont and the Town of Killington Department of Economic Development and Tourism for the 5th Annual IDIC15 5k Run/Walk and new 15k Run on Sunday, September 19th. This is a benefit road race to promote a better understanding of a rare genetic disorder called IDIC15.
IDIC15 is a rare duplication of chromosome 15q found in 1 in 20,000. Most people afflicted have a variety of challenges such as cognitive disabilities/ learning disabilities, autism spectrum, seizure disorders, ADD/ADHD and sensory processing disorder. Come run and view the beautiful early foliage. There is no better way to train for an upcoming half or full marathon than running the IDIC15 15K. Both races end at the Killington Recreation field where there will be family activities and great prizes including a raffle for a 2010/2011 Killington Season Pass.
