"I came in with the attitude of only doing one marathon to get it out of my system, I now find myself planning on making the pilgrimage back to Burlington for next years marathon"
Monday, November 1, 2010 YAM Scram Registration Now Open!
The KeyBank Vermont City Marathon isn't the only big event now open for registration! Whether you're a local family or bringing your kiddos to Vermont to cheer you on while you run the Marathon, don't miss the opportunity to get them in on the fun. Registration for the 11th Annual MVP Health Care YAM Scram opens today. This festive, fun-filled youth running event takes place on Saturday, May 28, 2011 and is open to kids ages 4-12. Parents can run alongside their children in the 1/2-mile race; kids run on their own in the 1-mile and 2-mile events. The exact location for this year's event is being determined, but it will be within Burlington city limits. In an effort to ease the crush at the race packet pick-up tables on race day, race materials will be available for pick-up at the Sports and Fitness EXPO (Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center) on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 4pm-8pm and at the event site on Saturday.
Please consider registering early for this very popular event. To keep the event safe for all, we have a strict cap of 725 participants; the event sold out weeks before the race last year. Cost for the event is $20 per child through April 3, 2011 and $25 per child from April 4-May 9, 2011 or when the race fills. More information is available here.
