Monday, November 15, 2010 RunVermont seeks nominations to Vermont running Hall of Fame
Do you know someone who has contributed significantly to running in Vermont? Someone who embodies the spirit of the sport? RunVermont is seeking nominations to the 2011 RunVermont Hall of Fame. “It is our intention to seek out and honor those individuals who have made significant, long term contributions to the Vermont running community,” says Peter Delaney, executive director of RunVermont. "Our past winners included the founders of the marathon, exceptional coaches, outstanding volunteers and individuals that inspire us with their commitment to the sport.” The RunVermont Hall of Fame has honored twenty-six men and women who embody the true spirit of RunVermont by embracing and perpetuating athletic spirit in the Vermont community. The organization is accepting nominations through January 15, 2011, for induction at a reception during the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon weekend in late May. A selection committee comprised of RunVermont program committee and board members will select the honoree. Nomination forms and additional details are available at www.runvermont.org or by calling 802.863.8412.
