KBVCM Relay Lottery Now Open!
The KeyBank Vermont City Marathon & Relay features two relay events, both of which run concurrent with the full Marathon. Runners in all events run alongside each other. In the 2-Person Relay, two runners evenly split the Marathon distance of 26.2 miles. The 3-5 Person Relay allows 3, 4, or 5-member teams to divide the full Marathon distance into smaller segments, ranging from 3.1 to 6.5 miles.
Entry in to both the 2-person and 3-5 person relays are managed by a lottery. Seven hundred 2-person and 700 3-5 person relay teams are randomly selected from the lottery entries submitted between January 1 and January 31 each year. Team captains are notified if their team was selected by February 7, 2011.
Teams not selected in the lottery or team captain who wish to find additional runners or sell their bibs can visit the RunVermont Relay Team Transfer Board. For team transfer sales, we ask that all transfers take place for no more than the face value: $120 for a 2-Person Relay and $185 for a 5-Person Relay. Runners can also gain entry to the relay by raising funds for one of our fifteen Miles for a Mission partners.
