The Vermont City Marathon & Relay features two relay events, both of which run concurrent with the full marathon. Runners in all events run alongside each other.
In the 2-Person Relay, two runners evenly split the Marathon distance of 26.2 miles. The 3-5 Person Relay allows 3, 4, or 5-member teams to divide the full Marathon distance into smaller segments, ranging from 3.3 to 6.5 miles.
For the first time in many years we have decided to eliminate the lottery system for access to the People’s United Bank Vermont City Marathon Relays. Open registration for the 3-5 Person and 2 Person Relays will commence at 6am on Monday, February 1, 2016. Team Captains ONLY should register for the exact desired team(s). Please use a valid credit card otherwise the purchase will not be recorded.
This system will be first come, first served!
